A Smile

I am one of those people who will smile, especially when I do not feel like it, just to make others smile.  I hate the idea of other people feeling down and will always try my hardest to make those around me happy.  At the hospital, doctors are always impressed that, regardless of how bad things get, I will have a smile to offer.  Lately however, finding the strength within me to do that has been difficult.  When you have long periods of isolation, with nothing but your own thoughts and a body that does not seem to work, you sometimes have to trick yourself into smiling just to keep yourself going.  Yesterday was one of those days which reminded me that the trick was there.  It certainly brings you down with a crash.

Please do excuse me for the self-indulgence of this post.  Normal fashion-based fun will resume shortly.

  1. Hope you feel better soon. And keep smiling - it's amazing how much a smile can transform even the darkest day :)

  2. Wishing you lots of positive energy. Stay strong.

  3. Its good to hear from you. All the best.

  4. Hope U feel better soon, darling!

  5. Love this track and your sentiments on smiling. It changes your posture completely and when you do it others can't help but join in.

    Hope all is well,

  6. You really are quite wonderful. Your words, your blog. I'm hoping for more from you. Stay well.

  7. Sending you many many smiles :)

Hope you feel better really soon!

  8. I know how you feel exactly! Health issues are NEVER fun... especially when the body feels like it's mutinying. Hope your day gets better.
