Mickey Mouse Shoes, Sir?

No, not the chunky yellow shoes! For their latest collaborative collection, skateboarding brand etnies have teamed up with Disney to create the etnies x Disney Co: Labs line. The footwear, featuring for both men and women, are based on a number of basic etnies models, building upon them in terms of colour, materials and finishes via inspiration from Disney. The line features a total of eight, with each pair embodying a singular character: from Mickey Mouse himself, to Tinkerbell and even characters from cult classic Fantasia. No doubt this collection will be a must for many sneaker addicts and Disney fans alike.

The reason I especially wanted to share these images, apart from my own joy in seeing the collaboration, was the concept behind the photography. Admittedly the idea of creating advertised 'foot candy' is not a new one in the sneaker world, however I thought these were a beautiful example of the concept at work. The sneakers look quite literally good enough to eat in these shots. I think I may have to go and hunt down that Mickey Mouse pair...
