"My my, what large glasses you have"

Sorry for the slight pause in my posting, I unfortunately had a rather severe reaction to some new medication, which left me unable to blog for a few days. Whilst I was away however my finished glasses came in the post with the prescription lenses. I must say I am quite pleased with the results, although I am not yet fully used to the size of the frames. I decided not to get an anti-reflective coating on the lens, which I must admit thought might have been a mistake at first. However following a short while wearing the glasses I have found the reflective nature of such large lenses to be quite a nice touch, it is almost comical, which suits me perfectly.

On a side note, I recently discovered the work of London-based graphic designer Adam Spizak. I thought I would share a few pieces that caught my attention:

I will try to reply to all your lovely comments as soon as possible.

  2. i love them! as exaggerated as i will undoubtedly look, i am truly eager to covet a pair for myself. do you have any details of the optician you used? i'd be too grateful for words! it seemed that the service you got was quick and successful, and this autumn calls for me to get my prescription placed into a pair of frames that i already have in mind!
i hope that you are feeling a little better: it saddens me to hear of your poor luck in the health stakes recently, and only hope that it's nothing too serious. thinking of you!

Your glasses are superb, I really like them. New specs take getting used to, don't they?

  18. I don't have anti-reflective coating and I find it works a treat in photographs. Your frames are much bigger than mine so you'll have twice the fun.
