War of the Worlds - 'Camellia Sinensis'

Click for larger images.

The weather for the past few days in London has been overwhelmingly stormy and wet, it seems the Summer that never came truly has said its farewell this year. However on days such as this one, nothing is more relaxing than cuddling up with a blanket, with a nice cup of tea in the one hand and a good book in the other. The skies may be grey outside and the winds howling in greeting of the city, following months away, and the rain pounding down on the window panes. Yet nothing could be better than sailing down the river on a raft with Huck and Jim, or watching as Caliban turns on his harsh master Prospero, or wandering the streets of New York with Holden, pondering the fate of the ducks in winter and sadly witnessing his eventual break down.

what book are you reading at the moment? & what tea do you drink? people always seem to be either an english breakfast or an earl grey drinker, never both!

  10. Oooh I love a nice cuppa, if it's right it's just like a hug in a mug. I hate normal pg tips or tetley, it's gotta be either earl grey, mint or pear & apple green tea. no milk, 2 sugars ta ;)

  26. Yeah, let me know how the book goes if you do read it! I would suggest pretty much all of Valerie Steele's books! I've never read any, but I've always wanted to read her LBD book.

  27. Eelie: Thank you so much for the compliment :) I actually don't have any caucasian in me lol.

And to answer everyone else, the object is a tea strainer, for loose leaf tea :)

  28. this is so true: Oslo is just as bad, grey and getting darker earlier each day! i am huddled up inside against the cold, and whilst i don't have the company of The Tempest of Catcher in the Rye, i do have enough Norwegian and Danish literature to sink a small ship, oh dear! and an empty day ahead of me, in which i intend to do almost everything you mention in this post. hope you had a cosy weekend!

  29. The colors in the photographs are beautiful.

Nothing beats a good book on a rainy day. I have spent many autumn afternoons in the company of the most interesting characters.

You have a really beautiful way with words.
